A small adventure

Well a few days ago I had a free day=no work for me day :- ) so I decided to join a friend of mine to visit a shipyard where his sail/dive boat is being manifactured.

It started as a clowdy day a bit on the cold side but it ended up being quite a nice day. The place is outside Belgrade near the town of Obrenovac. Who would thing they make ships in a village??? Anyway, since I had never been to a shipyard, this trip was interesting. We went there by bus since to get in the car costs $$$ and by bus we can chat and even take a napp. It takes approxx 1 hour and a half to get there. We spent a good 6-7 hours there and after getting back to Belgrade we were hungry like wolves and since my friends wife was out of town we made crazy delicious pasta with tuna and green beans. Jami jami, too bad i did not take pictures. So here you are another adventure. Simple and to the point as well as proving you do not have to have a whole lot of stuff to have fun. A interesting project, good friends and some good food.

Till next time

Here is some more

As I promissed I will write more stuff on what marked my summer in Serbia this year. Apart from going to Croatia and Italy on my motorcycle which was a blast, I had my dear friends-my Spanish family over for ten days. IT WAS GREAT TO SEE THEM AND SPEND TIME TOGETHER. I enjyed it very much and I am sure they did too. We did a short Northern tour of Serbia, visited Novi Sad here are some photos :

that was followed by a tour of south Serbia. We visited a couple of well known sites, monestery in Oplenac, Zica, Mokra Gora the famous Unesco protected site also known as the place where if you are lucky you can meet Emir Kusturica the renoun film director and philantropist and ended the tour with a visit to Guca and the famous music trumpet festival there. This was combines with a overnight stay in a tipical Serbian ethno village Here are some more photos :

Their stay was short and sweet. We had fun enjoyed a lot of what Serbia has to offer. I believe that I was a good ambasador for my home country. As most of the times when you you are in good company and having fun the stay was short and that leaves us with more plans and trips to plan so that we can keep our friendship for a long long time to come. OK that is it for now, I will be posting again once there are interesting things happening in my life. Untill then let me know what you think about all this mumbo jumbo. Now I have to go back to making a living and planing my next adventure C U

Well deserved news

Ok it has really been a long long time now since I posted. Many things have happened since the last post so it is chalanging to pick a point from where to begin.

I did manage to get a job running the biggest Cafe in the largest shopping mall in the Balkans, located in Belgrade. It is owned by a friend of ours and rather then sitting home waiting and contemplating what to do I started working there. It is not what I expectd I would be doing after returning home but the economic situation here is royaly bad so it is better to have a job, have some cashflow and keep my mind focused on work. This does not meen that I gave up on searching for better things for me. It will take more time then expected.

By some miracle I managed to take a few days off so I can relax. I used some of it to go to the Croatian coast city of Porec to meetup with very dear friends from Toronto. Here is a preview:

and some more from the island of Brioni where in the GOOD OLD DAYS our Marchal Tito had his summer residence. The man was a true INTERNATIONAL MAN OF MISTERY
I had a chance to visit Venice in Italy for a day and that was a cool experience. Starting with the boat which took us there pretty fast, the price of only 20 euros per person including lunch in Venice return ticket to the quick tour of the city it was money well spent. It was jam packed with tourists. Here is a sneek peek:

Not to mentione that now I have a desire to come back and explore more of the city and what it has to offer. After this short stay on the Croatian coast I went to Trieste and then took the old highway through Slovenia and was back in Belgrade working. OhOhOhOh, I forgot to mention. I rode my motorcycle from Belgrade to the coast and back. IT WAS A BLAST although on the way there I was under constant tropical rain for 4 hour and not even my waterproof suit protected me from the elements. It was cold but i had fun and enjoyed another experience. This is it for now, I will post more pictures and a video of the ride, Trieste and more.

Stay tuned
